What it is
Digital experiences and portals for customer and partner self-service. Legacy Customer Portal and Partner Portal were predecessors that were replaced by Salesforce Communities (2013). 'Alumni Cloud' has been used as vertical solution branding (higher education) and templates, not an official product rename. The Spring '21 rename from Community Cloud to Experience Cloud created significant search confusion due to 'experience' being overloaded (Lightning Experience, Customer Experience, UX, etc.). In October 2025, Experience Cloud was split: customer-facing portal capabilities became Agentforce Service Portal, while partner relationship management capabilities became Partner Cloud (see partner-cloud entry). Still uses Experience Builder as the site builder tool.
